Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a family with a strong musical background. When she was a kid, she listened to many traditional music as well as traditional boleros. She also listened to traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana enjoys tangos and the dramatic and opera performances. She started singing and studying the piano with her mom, and commenced more serious singing training when she was 16 under the renown Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca in The School of Sacred Music. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous opera choruses and chamber ensembles. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer of traditional Latin American music at private occasions. As a teacher and musician she has volunteered for numerous community projects due to her enthusiasm and passion for music. Ana was also a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher at the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful to the Inland Master Choir for their permission to play traditional Latin American song.
